16-Day New Zealand School Tour

This tour is designed for general theme tours such as:

  • English Language studies
  • Music or Performing Arts
  • Sports or Geography
  • Environmental studies.

The tour contains an element of billeting with New Zealand schools for specifically requested studies. This is obviously flexible and determined both by the wishes of visiting groups and the interest and availability of New Zealand schools to accommodate theirs requests at any particular time. Normally the itinerary attached is built around the New Zealand school visit-billeting period and is flexible.

In general New Zealand schools will accept interchanges in sports, music and languages on a somewhat ad hoc basis where the interests of visiting schools and timing of visits are both compatible and can be fitted into their school year. An offer of reciprocal hospitality is normal but may not be taken up by a New Zealand host school as some are happy to host for its own sake and have no plans to visit other countries where as others are eager to foster regular two way exchanges

A modest school arrangement and billeting fee is charged to cover the arrangement costs with host schools but is less than similar hostel or hotel costs. Providing the visits and billeting is short term and within the general timing of this itinerary the host schools are unlikely to impose any charges for tuition providing the rationale for the exchange meets the general criteria mentioned above.

In addition to, or in place of, visits to New Zealand schools hosting arrangements including billeting may be made with suitable youth club organisations etc, which are involved in the various activities, sought by the visiting groups.

The New Zealand Climate is temperate to sub tropical, the seasons opposite to the Northern Hemisphere, and the scenery very beautiful and varied. There are no dangerous animals and the countries low density population makes outdoor activities very attractive. Travel within New Zealand is also relatively easy and safe compared with most countries.

We welcome your ideas and requests, as most itineraries are tailor made.
