North and South Island Discovery

(10 days - 9 nights)

DAY 1:

  • ETI representative will 'meet and greet' you at the international airport.
  • Free assistance while the group is in NZ.
  • New Zealand's "City of Sails" with more than 40 extinct or dormant volcanoes and the largest urban Polynesian population of any city in the world.

DAY 2:

  • Sightseeing includes American Cup Village, One Tree Hill, etc
  • Kelly Tarlton - the world famous original Underwater World, travel deep beneath the ocean on the moving walkway in a unique underwater tunnel. Come face to face with the ferocious sharks. All that and a whole lot more such as on board the heated Snow Cats and take a journey across the frozen landscape of Antarctica to see the colonies of King and Gentoo penguins play in the real snow and ice
  • Including City sightseeing, Waitakere Ranges sightseeing and Arataki information Centre or
  • Tiritiri Matangi Island - Bird sanctuary, see and hear the nine species of endangered rarest birds and their natural habitat. Then guided walk or picnic under the canopy of native bush.
  • Sailing on a "Dining Afloat" cruise with Pride of Auckland. Set fresh seafood menu, or alternative prior arrangement. Your crew will weigh anchor before serve dinner and the sails will go up for an exhilarating after dinner sailing experience while watching the fairy-tale lights of Auckland city pass by!

DAY 3:

  • Transfers by coach to Rotorua via Waitomo Glow-worms Caves - New Zealand natural water-sculptured, limestone grottoes. You can slip gently by on a water-borne barge to view the myriad glow-worms overhead, or just admire the beauty and grandeur of the cathedral-like caverns.
  • Lunch at Roselands Farm either before or after Glowworm Caves

DAY 4:

  • To see Whakarewarewa Geyserland with natural thermal mud pools etc
  • Rotorua - Lunch at Gondola Restaurant + Gondola ride + 5 luge rides
  • Rainbow Springs - Trout, Bees World and Farm Show
  • Whakarewarewa Thermal area plus visit Maori Arts and Craft Village
  • Rotorua Museum with its exposition of the Mount Tarawera Eruption,
  • And experience a Hangi dinner and Maori cultural show

DAY 5:

  • Air transfer to Queenstown for 2 nights, one of New Zealand's most beautiful Alpine towns nestled alongside Lake Wakatipu at the base of the Southern Alps. Includes Lunch lake cruise to Walter Peak Station a classic South Island Sheep Station (farm).

DAY 6:

  • Full day trip to Milford/Doubtful Sound and lunch cruise on the Sound to see spectacular Fiordland with its rainforest, many waterfalls and unique flora and fauna

DAY 7:

  • Transfer by coach from Queenstown via Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest Mountain, and the early training ground of Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to conquer Mount Everest, past Lake Tekapo and the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch
  • CHRISTCHURCH - YHA or similar (Multi/twin share) 2 nights with NO MEALS
  • OR Standard hotel or similar (twin share) 2 nights with Cooked B'fast

DAY 8:

  • Full day tour of New Zealand's most English city including the Port Hills around Lyttelton Harbour and the Antarctic Museum

DAY 9:

  • Air transfer to Auckland

DAY 10:

  • Depart New Zealand
