Music groups are spoiled for choice with a variety of performing opportunities throughout the country. If you wish, you could combine your Swiss tour with visits to nearby France, Italy, Austria or Germany to include a performance or two.

There is a variety of performance opportunities in the region of Wilderswil ranging from squares and music pavilions to hotels, spa halls and churches. Groups staying in Wilderswil may like to participate in the regular series of concerts on the Bärenplatz Square. Concerts may also take place at Interlaken in the Spa Park outside the casino and at the main square in the prosperous resort of Grindelwald. Concert venues are possible in churches in Alphine villages and also popular are Geneva and Montreux.

Montreux, being famous for the Montreux Jazz Festival, Switzerland is particularly popular for light music groups. Montreux and Jazz a Vienne ( France) are held relatively close and the festival dates always coincide (late June to mid-July). One, two, or even three festivals can be added around these festivals depending upon the length of time available for travel. Festivals also offer jazz workshops and master classes. Jam sessions are also often part of the jazz festival scene with major artists participating.

A cheap accommodation option is to stay in the lake towns of Evian and Thonon, both in France, and make excursions into Switzerland.
