Bay of Islands Extension

(10 days - 9 nights)

DAY 1:

  • ETI representative will 'meet and greet' you at the international airport. Free assistance while the group is in NZ.
  • New Zealand's "City of Sails" with more than 40 extinct or dormant volcanoes and the largest urban Polynesian population of any city in the world.

DAY 2:

  • Sightseeing includes American Cup Village, One Tree Hill, etc
  • Kelly Tarlton - the world famous original Underwater World, travel deep beneath the ocean on the moving walkway in a unique underwater tunnel. Come face to face with the ferocious sharks. All that and a whole lot more such as on board the heated Snow Cats and take a journey across the frozen landscape of Antarctica to see the colonies of King and Gentoo penguins play in the real snow and ice
  • Including City sightseeing, Waitakere Ranges sightseeing and Arataki information Centre or
  • Tiritiri Matangi Island - Bird sanctuary, see and hear the nine species of endangered rarest birds and their natural habitat. Then guided walk or picnic under the canopy of native bush.
  • Sailing on a "Dining Afloat" cruise with Pride of Auckland. Set fresh seafood menu, or alternative prior arrangement. Your crew will weigh anchor before serve dinner and the sails will go up for an exhilarating after dinner sailing experience while watching the fairy-tale lights of Auckland city pass by!

DAY 3:

  • Transfer by coach via the Matakohe Kauri and Pioneer Museum to Waipoua Forest to see one of the largest tracts of native rain forest and giant 2,000 years old Kauri Trees, then on via Hokianga Harbour to the Bay of Islands.
  • Tours include Historic Treaty of Waitangi House and Museum the birthplace of modern New Zealand.
  • Cruise to see 'Hole in the rock'. An informative commentary highlights Maori legend, historical features plus the flora and fauna of the area. Dolphins, seals, and whales and a variety of birds' life are often encountered.

DAY 4:

  • Swim with dolphin - the ultimate marine adventure, you will get right up close to dolphins to watch their antics and get fantastic photos. Weather and conditions permitting, you will have a chance to swim with dolphins in the wild! Features bonus island stopover with hot showers at Otehei Bay.

DAY 5:

  • Via Matamata - Lunch at Longlands Farm

DAY 6:

  • To see Whakarewarewa Geyserland with natural thermal mud pools etc
  • Rotorua - Lunch at Gondola Restaurant + Gondola ride + 5 luge rides
  • Rainbow Springs - Trout, Bees World and Farm Show
  • Whakarewarewa Thermal area plus visit Maori Arts and Craft Village
  • Rotorua Museum with its exposition of the Mount Tarawera Eruption,
  • And experience a Hangi dinner and Maori cultural show

DAY 7:

  • Transfer by coach from Rotorua via Lake Taupo, New Zealand's largest lake (the size of Singapore). And to view the scene of one of the World's largest volcanic explosions via Mount Ruapehu, an active volcano and Tongariro National Park to Wellington, New Zealand's Capital City for 2 nights
  • At Taupo, you will experience 30 minutes of fun and exhilaration with 360 degrees spins with Huka Jet in a beautiful Waikato River environment and the trip highlight is the water level view of the world-renowned famous Huka Falls.
  • Then of to have BBQ lunch at Prawn farm with the spectacular views of the Waikato River and enjoy the delicious BBQ prawns or other dishes including prawn less meals.
  • Then travel further south to the capital city.

DAY 8:

  • Full day tour of Wellington including the Harbour Oriental Parade and Te Papa, the National Museum, and a trip up Mount Victoria to see the South Island and Cook Strait and then catch the Wellington Cable Car for a ride to view the harbour and Hutt Valley then visit the Parliament Building.

DAY 9:

  • Air transfer back to Auckland

DAY 10:

  • Depart New Zealand
